VOX 5 features the UK premiere of John Moran’s The Little Retarded Boy, a new commission for amplified slimming belts and electronics by Vitalija Glovackyte, and David Lang’s parody of dinner party culture, Music for gracious living. Concluding the night are two hauntingly beautiful string quartets - John Uren’s Her Own Dying Moments, discussing mortality via the death of David Bowie, and Meredith Monk’s mesmerising Stringsongs.
